Project#4 Reflection

I pick Paul Walker because he is one out of many famous actors that has a foundation made for animals and homeless children. Inside the cutout I put the movie that helped him gain a lot of international fame. He played the role of Brian O'Conner on a street racing action film known as "Fast & Furious". Under the film I put the logo of his foundation "Reach Out Worldwide" This foundation is composed of a team that helps all those affected by natural disasters and humanitarian crises. I also put the started of his career as a toddler where he appears on a Pampers commercial. And I included a car which shows that Paul was passionate by cars being that he spend almost all his adolescence on street races. The mask selection make the silhouette work because it goes around the character describing him. I chose words that described Paul as a well known actor and achievements to help society. What did work on this project was the steps given in class i think I followed them but one which was filling in the mask with images I am missing four images so I will work on managing my time and using it wisely.

LAB #6

In this project we used many different tools for different pictures. On the top right picture I used the spot healing brush tool to get rid of the sprinkles and the history brush tool to add grass on the grey corner. For the top left picture I used the patch tool to get rid of the bullets and other left marks, the spot healing brush tool and the content aware move tool. For the down left I used the blur tool to make it look blurry or not focused, the smudge tool and the sharpen tool. And for the down right picture we clicked on layer-new fill-and we then chose the one we liked in my case I chose the diamond and then I clicked on type tool to write on it.

Self Evaluation

For this marking period I think I did well I handed most of my homework on time but I make sure I completed them, but I'm sure I tried my best. I need to improve on assignments and home works. Even though I missed a single assignment on the MP1 I hope I will make it work better and spend more time on my work. And my goal is to get at least an 80 average for the MP2.

Andy Warhol Portrait essay

Andy Warhol is an American artist known for his artwork knows as "pop art”. I would buy his artwork because is known that he creates his art inspired by people and the results are successful. When looking at his art it remains me of the early times and makes me think of the age they were living at. Also based on the concentration and how he tried to make every single piece of art perfect, I can tell that somehow he was living on a peaceful age. The association is pleasant and important. Critics in popular culture about his paintings might be all about how he uses repetition on several cases. But in popular culture would affect the most because by that time there were more people that liked his art than those who didn't, so either way everyone had different opinions about it. An informed opinion is that one you give having knowledge on the topic and an uninformed opinion is just giving it without knowing what you are talking about. Taste is a personal preference and bias is an impartial judgment. Warhol’s portraits formal aspects were identical by the way he always tried to create his art according to the situation.

Portraits are important to us in different ways including the fact that there are many people that like to keep portraits of them on different periods of time sometimes just to create a timeline and show future generations how they have change through out the time or they just use it for decorations. Also portraits are useful when identifying you on documents such as passports or id's. Artists have painted portraits throughout the ages because there was a period of time on the ancient time when painting became a famous thing and it was well known everywhere, so everyone just started doing it. I feel good doing a portrait myself because that way I can follow Warhol's thinking and understand how he somehow used his imagination and just expressed it. But either way knowing that something good came out of it because I tried my best out of it. First of all I took a picture of myself and using Photoshop I then erase the background so just the wanting area will appear on the artwork. Then I plug it on the working space and using the ruler I kept it at a certain size. Then I click filter, artistic and cutout. Then I created a group out of the layer and duplicate it 3 more times because I wanted four pictures. After that I used the rectangular tool and clicked on layer, solid color, named the layer and chose a background color. I used the rectangular marquee tool, the magnetic lasso tool, the move tool, and other things like cutout, ruler, solid colors and some adjustments. I see myself using these skills in my future by doing some propaganda depending on the career I chose or helping others with my knowledge.
